This Jain temple was 2 hours away from where I was staying – but was a must-see for me. This temple is 300+ years old sitting in the middle of a lake. I arrived long before sunrise and was able to watch the opening of the temple. The temple priest crosses the lake in the boat and then rang bells to announce to all the temple is open. The funny part of the story is after I completed my shooting I went to find the car/driver I had hired. They were gone! I waited 15 minutes and nothing. My cell phone had no coverage, so I hitchhiked to for a ride until I had coverage. Called the booking agent and they got a hold of the driver. He went for tea and then fell asleep. After some drama, we were reunited, and my return trip was uneventful.
